STREET STYLE VADA PAV
Ingredients:
Vada Pav Bun- 4 pieces
Butter- 100 gm
Vada Pav Masala- 2 tbsp (if not available, crush 2-3 cloves of garlic with 1 tbsp of red chilli powder and salt and mix with 1 tbsp water)
Ingredients for Aloo Vada ( Potato Patty):
Potatoes- 500 gm
Green Chillies - 4
Ginger- 1 small piece
Finely chopped coriander- 2 tbsp
Salt
Red chili powder- 1/4th tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
Chickpea flour (Besan)- 1 cup
Pinch of baking soda
Oil to fry
Ingredients to make Green Chutney:
Green Chillies- 4
Finely chopped coriander- 1/2 cup
Curd- 3 tbsp
Salt
PROCESS:
Aloo Vada ( Potato Patty):
- Boil the potatoes and mash them after peeling the skin of potatoes. Now add ginger and green chilli paste into it and mix it well. Then to it add finely chopped coriander, salt as per taste, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix every thing well.
- Make small oval shaped patties from the mixture.
- In a pan start heating the oil for frying.
- Now in another bowl mix chickpea flour, salt, baking soda and water and make a paste of medium thick consistency to coat the patties.
- Dip the patties in the chickpea mixture and fry it until it turns light golden brown.
Green Chutney:
- In a mixture jar take the ingredients of preparing chutney as mentioned above and make a fine paste.
Vada Pav:
- Heat the pan, and meanwhile pan is heating cut the bun from middle horizontally and apply butter on both sides.
- Cook the bun from both sides ( pav ko halka sek le). Now apply vada pav masala on the inner side of bun and cook again for 15 seconds.
- Take the bun on the serving plate and apply green chutney on the inner side if the bun. Now put the aloo vada inside the bun and serve your Vada Pav with Green Chutney and Ketchup
